Mission and Vision

Our church mission statement is as follows: “Building a city from the inside out, showing God’s love to his people through friendship, worship, discipleship, fellowship, and leadership.”

In our worship, we find meaningful awareness of His presence with us, and we respond to this awareness with adoration, praise and thanksgiving. Our worship includes the preaching and teaching of the gospel concerning the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, so as to enlighten the conscience to the holiness of God, to feed the soul with the truth of God, and to open the heart to the matchless grace of God.

In our worship, service to Christ, we call sinners to repentance, encourage the down trodden, strengthen believers, visit the sick and incarcerated, uplift and maintain the highest standards of morality, and urge all believers to seek a spirit-filled life. It is essential that we nourish and cultivate the Christian lives of our parishioners, and that we attempt to meet both spiritual and natural need of those in our community. The ministries and auxiliaries of the Greater Pentecostal Temple were initiated to effectuate this purpose.

The New Birth (“Being Born Again”) includes genuine repentance, water baptism in Jesus’ name and the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, evidenced by the speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. The mystery of the Godhead. We believe that Jesus was both human and divine, and further, that Jesus was God manifest in the Flesh, the eternal Father made visible.
